Our approachable, Cornwall based Probate team focuses on putting you first, explaining often complex legal issues in a direct and easy to understand manner, with as little jargon as possible.

Each of the Probate and Estate Administration team works out of both our Truro and Penzance offices, making client contact as comfortable as possible.

Nick Latimir LLB TEP

Solicitor & Probate Director
Nick is a solicitor who specialises in probate and estate administration. Nick also works closely with the firm’s Chartered Tax Advisers to assist clients with estate and succession planning. He joined the firm in 2018.

A full member of both the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Solicitors for the Elderly, Nick is well equipped to advise on the more complex areas of lifetime planning and estate administration.

Charlotte Eden LLB

Solicitor
Charlotte is a solicitor who specialises in the administration of estates and estate planning.

Examples of her recent work within administration of estates and probate issues include:

• Dealing with high value taxable estates;
• Successful claim for the additional Residence Nil Rate Band using the downsizing provision;
• Successful claims for Agricultural Property and Business Relief;
• Obtaining Letters of Administration to intestate estates;
• Obtaining Grants of Probate to include estates with a foreign element;
• Dealing with linked family estates where proof of the chain of representation was required; and
• Preparing complex estate accounts.

Jess Long GCILEx

Probate Associate
Jess is a Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and is currently working towards her Chartered status. She has had experience in dealing with the following matters:


• Complex intestate estates;
• Applications for Probate when the appointed executor has died;
• Experience of dealing with the administration of trusts;
• Dealing with inheritance tax relief claims such as Agricultural Property Relief, Business Property Relief and Quick Succession Relief; and
• Obtaining Letters of Administration to intestate estates.
