Join RRL, Coodes Solicitors and Natwest at a free business breakfast at the Bakehouse in Penzance on Thursday 2 May, sponsored by ATI, to find out ‘How Innovation Can Help Your Business’.
The event’s headline speaker is Samuele Armondi, Managing Director of Everest Media, who will be talking about his innovation journey, which has fuelled his business growth in Cornwall.
Explaining the importance of innovation to his business, Samuele Armondi said: “Innovation has been at the heart of our growth, but has also given us some of our biggest challenges. Just figuring out what innovation was took us a while!
“I’m really excited to be able to share some of the lessons we learned and some of the mistakes I made, and I’m hoping to learn something!”
Also speaking at the breakfast will be RRL Tax Partner Steve Maggs, Abi Lutey, who is part of the Coodes Commercial Dispute Resolution Team, and Esther Barrand, Business Growth Enabler at Natwest. There are limited tickets available, so book now to secure your place.
Steve Maggs, who will be speaking about tax relief for research and development, said: “It is my hope that we can help more innovative Cornish businesses benefit from R&D tax relief. It is something that is very misunderstood, and consequently drastically under claimed. It isn’t all white coats and laboratories – it is very likely that most businesses are carrying out some form of R&D already.”
Esther Barrand, who is speaking on the topic of ‘Think Big, Start Small and Scale Quickly’ said: “Creating a new product or service or changing your business model and launching it within your business can be an anxious and costly time. We hope that, through putting on this event, we will be able to encourage more great Cornish businesses to have the confidence to be more innovative on a day to day basis”.
Coodes’ Abi Lutey, added: “When you have used your creative thoughts and imagination to come up with a new idea, product or service, it is important to ensure all of that time and effort is not wasted. At this event, I will be focusing on what you need to consider to protect your brilliant new idea, as you innovate.”
