The LIFE programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action. LIFE contributes to the implementation, updating and development of EU environmental and climate policy and laws by co-financing projects with European added value. Anyone registered in the EU can make a proposal for LIFE traditional, integrated, preparatory, and technical assistance projects under the sub-programmes for environment and climate action. You can decide if you want to run a project on your own, or if you prefer to join forces with partners from your own or another country.

How to apply – The Commission publishes calls for proposals based on the LIFE multiannual work programmes. The application procedure varies according to which sub-programme and project type you apply for. The next calls for proposals are expected in Spring 2019. More details are available here.

For further information see the LIFE website.
