Learning, support and match-funding programme for community businesses seeking to increase their trading income. This programme is intended for community businesses which are looking to increase their sales and trading so that they can become more sustainable.
The programme is run by School for Social Entrepreneurs, in partnership with Power to Change. It is aimed at leaders of early-stage community businesses such as CICs, Charitable Incorporated Organisations, Community Benefit Societies etc. Businesses must have a charitable purpose and carry out activities that have a positive social impact in the local community.
Successful applicants will benefit from a learning programme of 12 days spread over nine months and a grant of up to £10,000 (to match the income generated from trading), together with opportunities to make connections with other community businesses.
The Community Business Trade Up Programme runs from June 2019 to March 2020. Courses will run from eight locations across England, including Cornwall and Bristol. Deadline to apply is 14 February 2019.
