Grant Fund for Cornish businesses – BIG2
Further to the success of the Business Investment for Growth (BIG1) project (2012-2015), Cornwall Development Company has been awarded a £4.387 million European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) contract by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) to manage the BIG2 Project over a 3 year period (2016-2018).
Grants for Businesses, Rural Tourism & Farming Through the LAGS
Four separate geographically focused Local Action Groups (LAG’s) are operational across Cornwall with funding for rural businesses.
Coast to Coast Call
Grants to support investments in Micro and Small Enterprises including Farm Diversification, Farm Productivity, Food and Drink Processing and Rural Tourism (supporting tourism projects which link tourism providers, extend the season and encourage visitors to stay longer) in the Coast to Coast area of Cornwall are on offer. Grants of between £35,000 and £100,000 are available to expand business operations or develop a new business idea.
The Superfast Business Cornwall Service
Superfast Business Cornwall (SFBC) aims to boost business competitiveness through increased understanding and exploitation of digital technology. The service offers SMEs, start-ups and social enterprises a tailored programme of high quality information, advice and digital skills development. 50% match funding is available up to £25,000 to enable or accelerate digital transformational projects.
The Carbon Trust Green Business Fund
Through the Green Business Fund, the Carbon Trust is offering one or more of the following:
• a free energy survey;
• procurement support to obtain energy efficient equipment such as lighting, heating or refrigeration equipment;
• a non-repayable capital contribution of up to £10,000 (max 30%); and/or
• a free two hour training workshop.
Export for Growth
Export for Growth is a £15m programme funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI). Aimed at SMEs in the South West, it is delivered by Business West, and covers six LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) areas from Gloucestershire to Cornwall. There are two different programmes within the Export for Growth scheme; Export Essentials and Extend your Global Reach.
