We have been delighted to discover that we have been shortlisted for the prestigious 2018 Tolley’s Taxation Awards in the Best Single Office Practice category.

High level tax advisory work is one of the firm’s specialities and being shortlisted in the UK’s premier tax awards comes as recognition of the excellence with which this work has been carried out by RRL over the last 12 months.

Tax Partner Steve Maggs said: “This means a lot to us and everyone at the firm is absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for this award. The Tolley’s Taxation Awards are the highest honour available in the tax profession, so this really is fantastic.

“Over the last 12 months, myself, Nick and the tax team have advised on a number of transactions and projects that very few single office practices would be able to, including advising on a £25m transaction involving multiple buyers; working on a multi-million pound Research & Development tax relief claim; and advising on a £100,000 Theatre Tax Relief Claim for a sizeable Cornish theatrical production charity.”

Partner Nick Skerratt, who works alongside Steve on complex tax matters, said: “This is an extremely satisfying moment for RRL and I am very proud to be a part of the group of Partners driving forward our vision for a modern firm that’s focused on delivering added value for our clients. I expect 2018 to be a big year for RRL with our rebrand now complete, reflecting a fresh, more modern outlook, and the opening of a new office in Penzance this spring.”

The Taxation Awards are recognised as marks of excellence within the tax sector, with a high quantity of quality entries received each year. The prizes are sought-after by UK tax professionals, whether they work for multinational companies or in accountancy and law firms. The awards night itself is the biggest night of the year for the tax sector in the UK.

The awards will take place on Thursday 17th May at the Hilton Park Lane.
